the restaurant re-brand;We are delighted to announce that in October 2008, drakes took control back of the restaurant situated within the hotel. The restaurant had been previously trading independently by Ben McKellar and Gingerman restaurant group and since it opened in September 04 had won many awards including being the highest rated restaurant in Sussex by the “good food guide”. Head chef of the Gingerman at drakes restaurant for the last two years, Andy MacKenzie, will keep his role in the newly named “the restaurant at drakes” and together with the hotel will be looking to improve on the excellent reputation of service and cuisine it already has.
